Paneer protein roti: Combine whole wheat atta with fresh paneer and use the whey water left after making paneer to knead the dough. This helps make use of a nutritious ingredient that is often discarded. Each roti provides approximately 7–8 g of protein, depending on the ingredients and portion size. 2. Everyday homemade protein atta: Prepare a 1 kg batch using 75% whole wheat atta, 15% roasted soya flour and 10% defatted peanut powder. Around 30 g of this flour can provide approximately 5–6 g of protein per roti. The texture of protein atta may be slightly different from a regular wheat roti. Allowing the dough to rest for 15–20 minutes and adding enough water can help make the dough easier to roll. The video also explains why protein should not be viewed only as a muscle-building nutrient. Protein supports muscle maintenance and repair, enzymes, hormones and several other essential functions. As we grow older, getting adequate protein becomes particularly important for maintaining muscle mass. For a balanced meal, don't depend on the roti alone. Combine it with other protein-rich foods such as dal, sprouts, chana and curds, along with vegetables and other wholesome foods.
