PCOD or PCOS can affect periods, acne, facial hair, cravings, weight and fertility. These symptoms are not caused by one hormone alone. Reproductive hormones, androgens, insulin sensitivity, metabolism, stress and sleep can all interact. JOIN OUR 7-DAY YOGIC DETOX & REJUVENATION CAMP Take 7 days to step away from the everyday rush and immerse yourself in Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Sattvik Food, Relaxation & Yogic Living at The Yoga Institute, Mumbai. 📍 On Campus, Mumbai 🏡 Residential & Non-Residential options 👉 Learn more & register: https://shorturl.at/fLOcE Instead of trying to “fix” one hormone, this 21-day plan focuses on creating healthier conditions for the whole system through three pillars: 1. Movement Walk for 10 minutes after your main meals. Break up long periods of sitting every 45–60 minutes. Include around 30 minutes of yoga or other physical activity according to your capacity. The practice includes Sahaj Bhavasanas, Yogendra Yashtikasana, Ushtrasana, Paschimottanasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Halasana, Parvatasana, Surya Namaskar, Shavasana and Anulom Vilom. 2. Nutrition There is no single diet that is best for every woman with PCOD. Focus instead on balanced, sustainable meals containing: Protein such as dal, chana, rajma, sprouts, curd, paneer, tofu and soy Seasonal vegetables and salads High-fibre carbohydrates such as whole grains, millets, oats and brown rice Healthy fats from nuts and seeds The video also includes a protein-rich moong chilla with paneer or tofu, vegetables, ginger, coriander and flaxseed. A cup of spearmint tea is also discussed as an optional addition. Just as important, reduce frequent sweetened tea and coffee, soft drinks, packaged juices, sugary shakes and other sweetened beverages. 3. De-stress and Sleep Keep consistent sleep and wake-up timings. Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep. Create a simple wind-down routine with dimmer evening light, less stimulating screen use and calming activities. Spend 10 minutes in the evening with gentle breathing, Yogendra Pranayama IV or diaphragmatic breathing followed by quiet observation of the breath. Track your periods, sleep, energy, cravings, acne and bloating so you can notice patterns over time. PCOD management is individual, and these lifestyle practices complement rather than replace medical care when needed. Watch & Subscribe to our NEW TYI Shorts Channel!
